Best Demon Hunter Decks (October 2021) Stormwind Expansion!

We've got a list of the best Demon Hunter decks that you can get you to Legend in the Standard format of Hearthstone.

Demon Hunter is the newest class in Hearthstone, and came out of the gate particularly powerful. It required at least a few nerfs to the class to get them more in line with the rest of the group. It was expected to be this way, because if it was underpowered, then there would have been no real reason to play Demon Hunter in the first place.

In the United in Stormwind expansion, Demon Hunter got some interesting cards, but nothing at the moment stands out from the pack. With the quests being the focus of the set, Demon Hunter was hoping to have access to a new archetype that would change up the playstyle of the class. However, Final Showdown isn’t particularly powerful at the moment, and it remains to be seen if a deck that focuses on its card reduction abilities will be found.

The best decks for Demon Hunter in the current Hearthstone meta are Deathrattle and Questline Lifesteal OTK. Deathrattle is the top list for the class right now, with the Quest option being fairly far behind. Demon Hunter is in an okay spot, but it’s not particularly dominant and is only mid-tier because of the Deathrattle variant.

Demon Hunter Deck Lists

Deathrattle Demon Hunter Deck

The best deck right now for Demon Hunter revolves around Deathrattle synergy. This deck is midrange, and it is pretty difficult for your opponent to keep your board clear due to your minions spawning additional minions when they are killed. The United in Stormwind expansion didn’t add a whole lot to the archetype, it was pretty solid from the previous meta. However, you do have Rustrot Viper and Persistent Peddler that have jumped into the mix.

Rustrot is pretty self-explanatory, there are some powerful weapons in the meta right now, so it’s a good way to destroy them. You can also trade it away if you are playing a class that doesn’t run one. Persistent Peddler serves a similar function in the tradeability aspect, but is also a solid Deathrattle card.

Mulligans are pretty straight-forward, you are looking for Razorboar, Tuskpiercer, Far Watch Post, and Razorfen Beastmaster primarily.

Quest Lifesteal OTK Demon Hunter Deck

This is an OTK deck, so you will have to be fairly well-versed in the win-condition of this list. One of the key cards is Il’gynoth, who will need to be on the board for this to work. It makes your Lifesteal damage the enemy hero instead of healing you. That’s what will trigger the one turn kill ability of the deck.

Another important piece is Talented Arcanist, who will boost your next spell this turn with +2 Spell Damage. This combined with Mo'arg Artificer, and finally Felscream Blast on a minion (possibly your own, you want to make sure to hit three minions) will deal a huge amount of damage to your opponent.

Make sure you play Talented Arcanist in when you’re ready to play the final damage spell, because you could accidentally waste the spell damage if you cast it out of order.

Finally, the thing that pulls it all together is the questline card Final Showdown. By completing the steps, you will be reducing the cost of cards throughout the game. Once you complete the questline, you can play Demonslayer Kurtrus who reads, “Battlecry: For the rest of the game, cards you draw cost (2) less.”

Other than the quest, you are mostly keeping low cost cycle cards. Things like Sigil of Alacrity, Tuskpiercer, Spectral Sight, Crimson Sigil Runner, Double Jump, and even Acrobatics are on your keep list.
