Hearthstone Priest Decks (March 2023) Stormwind Meta!

We've got a list of the best Priest decks that you can get you to Legend in the Standard meta of Hearthstone.

Priest has had one of the most interesting class experiences in the history of Hearthstone. It was looked at as the weakest class for a longtime, with only certain players sticking with it over the years. There were a couple of moments where Priest had some not so bad decks. However, there were points when the class jumped ahead in the meta, only to be nerfed back down to size.

In the United in Hearthstone expansion, Priest was given a lot of tools to finally create the Shadow Priest deck that it always wanted. However, it currently has ended up as an aggro deck, which likely wasn’t really the intended plan for the archetype. The quest could be pretty powerful in a meta full of control, due to its ability to win the game with a single card. Unfortunately for Priest, that meta did not materialize and the quest card has seen little play.

The best deck for Priest in the current Hearthstone meta is Aggro Shadow Priest. Unfortunately, you don’t have a whole lot of options if you’re looking outside of the Shadow Priest archetype. Quest and Control Priest exist in some form, but they aren’t very good. If you want to play the Priest class right now, you’ll have to settle for aggro. You could always wait for the nerfs!

Best Priest Deck Lists

Aggro Shadow Priest Deck

Priest has got itself a powerful aggressive deck at its fingertips in the current Stromwind meta. It’s a pretty standard aggressive list, but it has a few tricks up its sleeves. While your hero power makes you similar to Hunter, you actually can control where the damage of it goes right off the bat. This allows you to use it for damage or to control the board to keep your minions attacking.

As for the small little combos, you have Dragonmaw Overseer with the dormant 1-drop Imprisoned Homunculus. You drop the Homunculus and then you play the Overseer on turn three/with the coin and get that buff on your already strong taunt minion.

Mankrik is another interesting one, because you only play a couple of spells so when you play Thrive in the Shadows, you can grab Olgra, Mankrik’s Wife spell and use it to get the Consumed by Hatred version of Mankrik on the board.

For your mulligan, you are mainly looking for Frazzled Freshman, Imprisoned Homunculus, and Tour Guide. You want to pretty much hit your curve for the most part. Cult Neophyte is another good card to keep, but generally only if you have a 1-drop in your hand already.

Quest Priest

While we certainly don’t recommend it, you could play Quest Priest if you have the cards for it. It’s a pretty expensive deck to give a try if you don’t have the cards. You are mostly attempting to play on curve to continually complete your tasks and get through the quest. Most of your cards are there to help you survive.

As for the mulligans, you keep the quest and look for Far Watch Post, Pandaren Importer, and Entrapped Sorceress. Pretty much cards that will help you control the board and get you additional cards to help complete your quest!
