Assassin’s Creed is a widely popular game series developed and published by Ubisoft. In this series, you become an assassin. You must stealthily assassinate high-ranking officials to change the course of a war.
In the past few months, rumors have circulated that there will be a new Assassin’s Creed VR game, which will be called Assassin’s Creed Nexus.
One Reddit user was given a chance to play the Beta build for Assassin’s Creed Nexus. While they could not save many videos or screenshots of the game, they answered questions about the type of content in the game and gameplay details.
In true Assassin’s Creed fashion, players will be able to do everything in the VR game they can do in the older games. This will include pick-pocketing, parkour, stealth, climbing, etc. The leak also included the details that fan-favorite Assassins from previous Assassin’s Creed titles will be playable on different levels. The first character that you will play is Ezio. Interestingly, however, players won’t be able to change between the characters freely.
Like most combat-driven games, players will have to learn to time their attacks when battling enemies. Once your enemy’s guard has lowered, that is your best time to attack. You will need to continue following the pattern until you’ve defeated your enemy. The weapons available in the game include Sword, Hidden Blade, Throwing Knife, Smoke Bombs, and Crossbow.
The beta user stated that the missions weren’t open-world and were more linear/main-story driven. This, unfortunately, doesn’t sound like the best news for those who love exploring, adventuring, and taking on additional quests. They also mentioned that the world is static, with no moveable objects, which is an interesting concept in a VR game.
The Assassin’s Creed VR, Assassin’s Creed Nexus, has many intriguing concepts and inclusions, according to the leaks of one beta tester. The official release date for this game has yet to be revealed. Be sure to check out our Latest News section for more great content!
