Pokemon Legends: Arceus (PLA) is a new take on the classic franchise of catching and raising pocket monsters. In this game, you will be open to explore the untamed wilderness and interact with wild Pokemon. One of the big aspects in previous games is breeding, and an integral component of that is Ditto. Will you be able to get yourself a Ditto in Pokemon Arceus? We’ll give you the answer in this guide!
Ditto Guide
Unfortunately, you can’t get or catch a Ditto in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This shapeshifting Pokemon does not exist on the PokeDex and isn’t available in the game. While this is a shame for fans of the Pokemon, it does change things up a bit to give you a different gaming experience for the franchise.
Breeding
There is a silver lining of sorts due to Ditto not being available in the game, and that’s the fact that you can’t breed Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus! That’s right, if you want to get your Pokemon to maximum stats in the game, you won’t be breeding them to do it. This pretty much eliminates any real reason to have Ditto, because the Pokemon was mainly used for that purpose.
From the basic knowledge we have at the moment, it appears that EVs and IVs have been reworked in the game. These have been replaced with the Effort Levels system. Each Pokemon can have a total of 10 Effort Level points into each of the stats. You can raise these with GRIT Dust that can be obtained by transferring Pokemon and completing research tasks.
That means you can raise any Pokemon you have to maximum stats. This is a much simpler system than EVs and IVs, particularly because there’s no PVP in Pokemon Legends: Arceus anyway!
That’s everything you need to know about what’s going on with Ditto in Pokemon Legends: Arceus! You will find a variety of informative content on the game in the Pokemon Arceus section of our website.
