The recent Diablo 4 patch 1.0.2d brings a significant overhaul to numerous class dynamics. Highlighted by skill adjustments, legendary aspect changes, and item modifications, Blizzard’s intent is clear: to ensure better balance and offer a more enjoyable experience for all players.

The Diablo 4 Barbarian class is receiving various tweaks. Challenging Shout’s damage reduction gained from skill ranks has been halved from 4% to 2%. Two Legendary Aspect changes include reducing Bold Chieftain’s Aspect’s cooldown reduction per nearby enemy from 2.7-5.4 seconds to a mere 1.0-1.9 seconds, and the Aspect of the Dire Whirlwind’s critical strike chance per second has been scaled back from 5-10% to 3-8%. A notable item change for Barbarians involves Gohr’s Devastating Grips, with explosion damage gained from Whirlwind sharply reduced from 50-70% to 16-26%.

The Rogue class hasn’t been spared either. Advanced Twisting Blades’ cooldown reduction per enemy hit has been reduced from 0.25 to 0.1 seconds, and its maximum cooldown reduction has been decreased from 3 to 2 seconds. The skill Dark Shroud now offers a reduced Damage Reduction per shadow from 0.8% to 0.4%, and the Enhanced Dash Critical Strike Damage bonus has been lowered from 20% to 15%. Additionally, the passive skill Concussive has seen its critical strike chance reduced from 5/10/15% to 4/8/12%.

The Druid class has also been adjusted. Pulverize’s Lucky Hit Chance has been reduced from 33% to 25%, but Lightning Storm’s damage has seen an increase from 32% to 40%. A few class specialization changes include Obsidian Slam’s kills required for bonus being increased from 10 to 20 and Calm Before the Storm’s Lucky Hit Chance being reduced from 15% to 10%.

The Necromancer class sees several modifications. Blood Lance’s damage has been increased from 67.5% to 80%, Army of the Dead’s damage from 30% to 45%, and Blood Wave’s damage from 90% to 120%. The class specialization of Raise Skeleton has been buffed with Skeleton Warrior attack damage being increased by 10%. Golem attack damage has also increased by 10%, while Blood Golem Life drain damage has been significantly upped from 40% to 90%.

Finally, the Sorcerer’s class has seen a reduction in Arc Lash’s Lucky Hit Chance from 30% to 14%, and Shimmering Teleport’s Damage Reduction duration has been reduced from 5 to 3 seconds.

A slew of broader changes has been implemented, including a reduction in the spawn rate of Treasure Goblins within PvP zones and the roll out of various bug fixes to enhance the overall game stability.
