Blizzard has launched the first hotfix for Diablo 4 ahead of its general release. Players who purchased the Deluxe or Ultimate edition of the game have been granted early access since June 2nd.

The Hotfix 1.0.2, which was rolled out as a server-side patch, is designed to occur in the background, requiring no client-side updates. This type of fix provides a seamless experience for players as they continue their journey within the game without interruptions or additional downloads.

Among the modifications brought by the hotfix, two distinct changes relate to the character classes Sorcerer and Rogue, respectively. For the Sorcerer class, the Flame Shield Enchantment has been adjusted. Now, when a player initially equips the Flame Shield into an Enchantment slot, it goes on a full cooldown immediately.

Turning the attention to the Rogue class, a delay has been implemented on the Inner Sight ability. Following the expiration of Inner Sight’s unlimited Energy, there will now be a four-second delay before another enemy can be marked. This tweak adds a layer of strategic timing to the usage of the Inner Sight ability.

The hotfix also impacts the game’s item attributes. Specifically, the Shout Skill Cooldown Reduction affix will no longer appear on items. This change is expected to diversify the item attributes and promote balance within the game’s item system.

In addition to these class and item-related adjustments, the hotfix also addresses monster difficulty. In the later World Tiers, monster health values have been increased. This enhancement aims to provide a more challenging and engaging experience for players as they progress through the game’s increasingly difficult levels.

Here’s the entire list of changes from the official forum post:
