It’s almost been a decade since the last Dragon Age game was released, with Inquisition being seen as one of the best roleplaying titles of the 2010s. With Dragon Age: Dreadwolf officially confirmed last year, not much information has been revealed outside of leaks, including a new one from a gaming insider that claims the title could be pushed to Summer 2024, at least.
This information comes from gaming insider Jeff Grubb on the Game Mess Mornings podcast, who states that he heard that Dreadwolf was initially planned for next month, but was pushed internally to early 2024 and has now been pushed again until the summer of 2024. However, he doesn’t sound hopeful and even says the project could be pushed back further.
This is unconfirmed unless official word is released by BioWare, which likely won’t come until the developer is able to better nail down a release date. The developer recently laid off 50 of its staff, including prolific writers, which likely doesn’t give fans a lot of hope about the next title in the monumental Dragon Age series.
After being initially teased at the end of 2020, this makes at least the third year that it’s been in development, with little news coming out about the title since the official confirmation last year.
