Fall Guys, the family friendly party royale from developer Mediatonic, has just revealed that Creative Construction mode will officially launch on May 10th, 2023, at 10 AM UTC.

Creative will allow players to create their own Rounds, share them with friends, and explore some on your own. The mode will only begin with access to Races, but new obstacles, themes, and more will continue to be added to the mode over time.

The devs also announced that other big changes are in store for Fall Guys, which will result in longer seasons. You can watch today’s full dev update on the Fall Guys YouTube channel:

The new Creative Construction mode got a deep dive today, and although it’s somewhat short on content, the features themselves look fairly impressive. It will have basic limits like a budget, but there are some unexpected freedoms. Besides maneuvering freely with your cursor, players will be able to alter object sizes, toggle snapping, and jump in for a test anytime.

Naturally, there will be many comparisons to the likes of Super Mario Maker. But it’s a welcome addition either way, since it better reinforces the sense of community and unlocks the players’ creativity.

Today’s showcase really tried to emphasize that players will have the same level of control as the devs themselves. Creative should also give the game far more longevity, letting the players consistently fuel Fall Guys with new content.

It’s a little disappointing that seasons will take longer. But 50 new rounds were still announced today, alongside the new Coin Quest event and experimental additions like Powerups, Tether Mode and coop. Also, there are sure to be more IP collaborations. There have been plenty of crossovers with surprising IP like the Invincible outfits introduced in January, which just returned last week.
