HoYoverse has announced an imminent expansion to the universe of Honkai: Star Rail, with Version 1.1, named “Galactic Roaming,” set to be available from June 7, 2023. This update will add a wealth of new content to explore in Herta Space Station, Jarilo-VI, and Xianzhou Luofu. Additionally, three fresh characters, namely Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong, will join the playable roster, accompanied by new companion missions, gameplay refinements, and time-sensitive events. There was also some additional freebies added with this announcement, which you can find on our Honkai: Star Rail Codes page.

Honkai: Star Rail is a role-playing game (RPG) that transports players to vast, uncharted cosmic territories. The title weaves fantasy elements with myth and legend, incorporating them into a space sci-fi narrative. In this journey, players embody a Trailblazer, venturing through a diverse universe filled with unique cultures, landscapes, and vistas to uncover the truth behind the ominous “Cancer of All Worlds.”

The upcoming update introduces three characters from the interstellar narrative: Silver Wolf, Luocha, and Yukong. Players can now officially enlist these characters in their cosmic odyssey.

Silver Wolf, a prodigious hacker in the Stellaron Hunters, effortlessly breaches any defense systems she encounters. A Quantum-Type character who adheres to the Path of Nihility, she can inflict various debuffs on enemies to bolster her allies’ combat effectiveness. In and out of combat, Silver Wolf’s skills are invaluable. She can deal damage and reduce enemy Toughness, disregarding their Weakness, and upon deploying her Ultimate, she can dominate enemies, reducing their defense while delivering substantial damage.

In contrast, Luocha, a roving merchant with a mysterious coffin in tow, presents an entirely different character dynamic. An Imaginary-Type character who follows the Path of Abundance, Luocha’s medical expertise makes him a master of healing. He possesses a unique skill allowing for “emergency healing” without consuming any Skill points. His Ultimate, “Death Wish”, can dispel one buff from all enemies while inflicting Imaginary damage.

Rounding out the new additions is Yukong, the Sky-Faring Helm Master of Xianzhou Luofu. As an Imaginary-Type character following the Path of Harmony, Yukong’s skills focus on supporting her companions. Although her days of frontline combat are behind her, her battle instincts remain sharp and effective.

The Version 1.1 update extends the game’s richly woven narrative and offers new gameplay elements. In the “Starhunt Game” event, Trailblazers assist Herta Space Station’s network security engineer, Leonard, in discovering electronic graffiti hidden throughout the station. As part of the reward, these unique designs can be collected and used on in-game surfaces.

Moreover, as the city of Belobog emerges from the shadow of the Stellaron threat, the History Museum is set to reopen. In the “Everwinter City Museum Ledger of Curiosities” event, Trailblazers undertake the recovery of lost exhibits, unearthing clues, and managing the museum.

Version 1.1 also offers a series of challenges titled “Stellar Flare,” “Garden of Plenty,” and “Lab Assistants in Position.” These trials test the Trailblazer’s combat techniques and strategic thinking, offering a variety of rewards. Furthermore, three new Companion Missions deliver deeper insights into these captivating characters.

For a more fluid gaming experience, new functionality such as friend chat and automatic enemy pinpointing will be implemented.

Honkai: Star Rail’s Version 1.1, “Galactic Roaming”, will be available on PC, Epic Games Store, iOS, and Android from June 7, 2023. The PlayStation version is currently under development, with additional details to be shared shortly. With cross-save and cross-play capabilities, players can enjoy the intergalactic adventures across various platforms.
