Anime Last Stand Maori Kurosaka Questline Complete Guide – How to Avoid Stun in Soul King Palace Portal

To prevent your units from being stunned in the new Tier 6 Soul King Palace Portal in Anime Last Stand, you must complete the questline from the NPC Maori Kurosaka, who stands outside the raid area in World 2; speak to him to start the quest. Here’s a quick rundown on how to complete it:

  • Have 2,000 Energy
  • Contribute 4,000 points to your team (Shinigami/Quincy)
  • Must possess the following units:
    • Riku (Kai)
    • Ichiban (Kai)
    • Ichiko (Hollow Form)
    • Obtain Aisen (Final Orb)

All the units above must be equipped before talking to NPC Maori Kurosaka to complete the questline. Once the quest is complete, your units will not be stunned in the new portal.

How to Get Energy

Energy is earned by completing the new Soul Society Story mode acts. Completing Soul Society Act 6 will give you between 10-25 Energy, while early Acts will get you less. To accumulate 2,000 Energy, you’ll need to grind extensively.

How to Get Riku (Kai)

To get Riku (Kai), you must first evolve the Epic unit Riku twice. The first evolution is Riku (Blood War), and the second is Riku (Kai).

How to Evolve Riku into Riku (Blood War)

To evolve Riku, you must first obtain her from any Banner, as she is an Epic rarity unit, making her relatively easy to get. Then, you need the following items to evolve her into Riku (Blood War):

  • Riku x1
  • Winter Cap x1
  • Legendary Spirit Shards x10
  • Mythic Spirit Shards x2
  • Water Essence x15
How to Get Winter Cap

The only way to get a Winter Cap is by purchasing it from the Raid Shop for 150 Soul Tokens. You can earn Soul Tokens by completing the new Wanderniech Raid.

Once you have everything, evolve Riku into Riku (Blood War).

How to Evolve Riku (Blood War) into Riku (Kai)

Now that you have Riku (Blood War), you’ll need the following items to evolve her into Riku (Kai):

  • Riku (Blood War) x1
  • Hollowfying Pill x1
  • Legendary Spirit Shards x16
  • Mythic Spirit Shards x6
  • Water Essence x100
  • Cosmic Essence x25
How to Get Hollowfying Pill

Similar to the Winter Cap, the Hollowfying Pill can be purchased from the Raid Shop for 200 Soul Tokens.

Once you have all the items, you can evolve Riku (Blood War) into Riku (Kai).

How to Get Ichiban (Kai)

To get Ichiban (Kai), summon Ichiban from Banner 3 in World 2, where he has a 1.25% chance of dropping. After acquiring him, you’ll need the following:

  • Ichiban x1
  • Ink Altar x1
  • Dark Essence x90
  • Mythic Spirit Shards x8

How to Get Ink Altar

There are two ways to get Ink Altar: purchase it for 1,500 Soul Coins or 90 Reiatsu. Soul Coins are earned in the Shinigami vs. Quincy event, while Reiatsu is earned by completing Soul Society (Invaded) Portals and Inner Dimension Portals.

We have more information on both here:

How to Get Ichiko (Hollow Form)

To get Ichiko (Hollow Form), you must have either Rare unit Ichiko or Epic unit Ichiko (Kai) and go down the evolution chain.

How to Evolve Ichiko (Kai) into Ichiko (Masked)

To evolve Ichiko (Kai) into Ichiko (Masked), you must first have either Ichiko or Ichiko (Kia), both of which can be obtained from every Banner.

  • Assuming you have Ichiko (Kai), if not, you will need Ulmiorra’s Blade to evolve Ichiko, which has a 5% chance of dropping from Hollow Dimension Act 6 on Nightmare difficulty.

To evolve Ichiko (Kai) into Ichiko (Masked), you need the following:

  • Ichiko (Kai) x1
  • Common Spirit Shards x35
  • Empty Mask x1
How to Get Empty Mask

The Empty Mask can only be purchased from the Raid Shop for 45 Raid Tokens.

How to Evolve Ichiko (Masked) into Ichiko (Hollow Form)

Now that you have Ichiko (Masked), you’ll need these items to evolve him into Ichiko (Hollow Form):

  • Ichiko (Masked) x1
  • Common Spirit Shards x150
  • Legendary Spirit Shards x15
  • Rare Spirit Shards x70
  • Hollow Head x1
  • Epic Spirit Shards x40
  • Mythic Spirit Shards x7
How to Get Hollow Head

The Hollow Head can only be crafted using 175 Fire Essence and 175 Dark Essence, which are obtained by completing the Cavern of Fire and Cavern of Darkness.

How to Get Aisen (Final Orb)

To get Aisen (Final Orb), you must complete the new Wanderniech Stage 6 Raid, where there’s a 1% chance for the Aisen (Final Orb) to drop. Be prepared for a long grind since the drop rate is low. However, you’ll earn Soul Tokens and have a chance to get the Tier 6 Soul King Portal during this process.

Once you’ve obtained all three evolved units, equip them and return to NPC Maori Kurosaka to complete the quest. Your units will no longer be stunned when facing the Tier 6 Soul King Portal, so you can complete it and get your hands on Crumbling Orbs to evolve Aisen (Final Orb) into Aisen (Muken).
