All Requirements to Start the Hunter Exam in Hunter Era
The Hunter’s Exam is challenging, requiring Hatsu Level 2 to start. It’s recommended to be at level 150+ to attempt, but even better at Level 250 in Hunter Era!
If you fail, don’t worry as you can retake the Hunter Exam every hour. It is not a one-time and done thing.
How to Start the Hunter Exams in Hunter Era
To initiate the Hunter Exam in Hunter Era, you can find the Hunter Examiner NPC located to the left of the ship at the starting area Safe Zone in Whale City. Upon arrival, look left towards the water, then follow the water to the left. In the distance, you will see a figure with a purple exclamation mark inside a purple circle. This figure is the Hunter Examiner.
Go to him and click “Accept.” When 20 people are queued, he’ll teleport you, and Phase 1 will start
Hunter Exam Phase 1
In Phase 1 of the Hunter Exam, it’s a race. Participants must outpace others to reach the finish line. Having Kilua’s Nen, specifically Killua-Godspeed, can be incredibly advantageous, but it’s not needed.
Hunter Exam Phase 2
In Phase 2, you find yourself in a forest maze. Your goal is to locate the green zone area. Follow these directions:
- Upon spawning, go left
- Take the left path, not the right
- Take the next right over the water and stone platforms
- Follow the path for a while
- You’ll finally come to a fork that can go left, straight, or right. Go right.
- Then, keep following the path to find the green zone.
Hunter Exam Phase 3
Phase 3 involves a PVP fight, but before that, you need to reach your opponent. Along the way, you’ll encounter obstacles such as swinging axes, spike traps, and more. If you and your opponent manage to survive the traps, it will be a fight to the death. The winner will then complete the Hunter Exam, obtain a Hunter Pass in their inventory, and become a fully licensed Hunter.
