In the intricate world of Lies of P, players often find themselves navigating a maze of challenges and mysteries. Having played a lot of this game, I’ve noticed that some items, like the Faded Whistle, are trickier to figure out than they initially appear. While the game provides some direction on its significance, the exact location and method of interaction remain elusive for many.

This guide aims to shed light on this mystery. If you found the Faded Whistle or Toma first, it depends on what you need this guide for. I’ll include where to find the whistle and where to find Toma in Lies of P.

How To Trigger the Toma Quest in Lies of P (Faded Whistle)

Upon reaching Elysion Boulevard in Lies of P, players will encounter two unique NPCs: a weeping woman searching for her lost child and Toma, a boy missing his friend Murphy, the policeman. Having spent countless hours in the game’s world, I’ve discovered that to initiate Toma’s quest, players need to exhaust their dialogue options. After doing so, the quest to find Murphy becomes active.

After the intense battle with the Scrapped Watchmen boss in the Krat City Hall Courtyard, players will come across a bench adorned with lit candles and a FRIENDS sign. scratched into the floor. Here, on this stone bench, lies the Faded Whistle. This whistle reminds me of some old-school RPG games where items have a deeper significance, as the Faded Whistle is believed to have been used by Murphy during his patrols in Lies of P.

Toma can be located by teleporting to the “Inside the House on Elysion Boulevard Stargazer.” From there, players should take the front door, follow the path to the right, and find a ladder leading to the streets. Right in front of this ladder, near a lit window, players will find Toma.

The Faded Whistle is categorized as a collectible, not a regular item in Lies of P. To use it, players need to return to Toma’s location. Once there, they should open their ‘Bag,’ navigate to the ‘Collectible’ tab, and find the Faded Whistle. Upon selecting the option to use it, Toma will recognize the sound, associating it with Murphy. This act brings a moment of happiness to Toma, thinking the player is Murphy.

Toma Quest Rewards and Consequence in Lies of P

Upon the successful completion of Toma’s quest, players are rewarded with a Radiant Ergo Fragment, which is 500 Ego. However, the joy is short-lived as, moments later, Toma succumbs to the petrification disease, leaving behind a silent world, with the player having fulfilled his last wish by playing Murphy’s Faded Whistle.
