Minecraft Live 2021 has just wrapped up, and players got a chance to vote for one of three mobs that are going to be added into the game. This is a big deal because every mob that enters into Minecraft can influence how you play the game. We’ll tell you how the votes went down in this guide.
Minecraft Mob Vote 2021 Results
The vote was held in two stages, the first one had all three mobs against each other, which were the Allay, Copper Golem, and Glare. Unfortunately for the Glare, they were easily dispatched from the race and lost to the other two mobs.
First Vote Result
- Allay – 51% of the Vote
- Copper Golem – 37.8% of the Vote
- Glare – 11.2% of the Vote
You can see the official results of the first poll via the Tweet on Twitter.
Now it was time for the Allay and Copper Golem to go head to head! However, once again the Allay was able to come out on top in dominant fashion and sent the Copper Golem packing.
Final Vote Result
- Allay – 54.3% of the Vote
- Copper Golem – 45.7% of the Vote
The Allay has claimed victory and will be added to Minecraft in the Wild Update, which will be released in 2022! Yes, unfortunately you will have to wait quite a while to see it in the game, but hopefully it ends up being quite useful!

Here’s a bit of information on the Allay, if you aren’t sure what to expect from it:
Allay
The Allay is basically a drone of sorts that you can give an item to and they will collect dropped items of the same type up to a full stack. It will drop the items if it gets into range of a Note Block. The Allay can’t destroy blocks and it can’t open containers, which does limit its usability.
If you missed out on some of the details of the other mobs, here’s a look at what we missed out on:
Copper Golem
The Copper Golem will be a craftable pet that is obviously created out of copper. It is attracted to copper buttons which would be added to the game if it wins the vote. It will oxidize over time like other copper blocks, and if you let it get completely oxidized, it will turn into a statue. If you want to keep your copper buddy around, you can remove the oxidation with an axe or it being struck by lightning!
Glare
The Glare mob will be found in extremely dark areas and once you have it as a pet, it will alert you to areas in the world that are dark enough to spawn mobs. These will likely spawn in lush caves, due to their bushy appearance in the game. This mob would be pretty useful if you were looking to make sure your base is secure from any mob spawns.
That’s everything there is to know about the results for the mob vote in 2021 for Minecraft! We’ve got a lot more coverage of the game in our Minecraft section of our website, so be sure to check it out.
I wanted the copper golem 2 win 🙁
Me too
why does the mob vote have to be a thing and not just add all the mobs instead
That is a much better idea, I wonder the same thing.
