The recent Nintendo Direct Showcase revealed new information about the upcoming co-op action game South Park: Snow Day! There may not have been a lot said about the game, but we have finally managed to get some confirmation for things that weren’t clear.

The Nintendo Direct confirmed that South Park: Snow Day! will be fully playable with friends or alone. It lets you play with up to four players to team up and conquer the wintery challenges. If you prefer to go solo, you can also experience the entire game in single-player mode; there is no online needed.

The new South Park: Snow Day game encourages personalization. Players can customize their characters to explore the snowy world. The game features a character customization system that is like the previous South Park games. You can choose your clothing, hairstyles, hats, glasses, and emotes. There was another option, but I couldn’t tell what it was. The game’s clothing customization menu, labeled ‘tunics,’ confirms this is a wizard and medieval fantasy.

Players can collect chests in the game to obtain items for their character, but not much else was shown. It seems that linear levels are what we can expect and that there might not be the big explorable world that we’ve seen in other South Park games.

The recent announcement also gives a preview of the gameplay. You can look forward to fast-paced, action-packed adventures in the snow-covered town. You’ll interact with well-known characters such as Cartman, Stan, Kyle, and Kenny and take on amusing challenges and ridiculous situations. The distinctive humor of South Park is expected to take center stage, but the more I see, the more I worry. This doesn’t look like it has the polish we saw in previous games, but we’ll have to wait to be sure. There’s not much longer to wait; check out our South Park Snow Day Countdown to countdown to snowy mayhem
