Palworld developer Pocketpair has released a new patch, 0.1.4.1 on Steam and 0.1.1.4 on Xbox, addressing several critical issues that have plagued the game since its launch. Most notably, the patch fixes a bug that caused Pals sent to the breeding farm to fall into eternal sleep, effectively rendering them unusable. This was like a coma they’d never wake up from.
This “breeding coma” glitch was a major concern because it’s easier to breed pals than to capture the harder ones in Palworld. When you’d assign them to the breeding pen, sometimes the Pals would go to their bed at night and just stick to sleeping all day. If you took them out and put them back in the box and then out, they’d keep sleeping. It was really annoying. While this is fixed for Steam, Xbox is still waiting.
The patch also resolves a game-crashing bug that corrupted save data when the number of Pals captured by the guild reached approximately 7,000. Additionally, Pocketpair has addressed issues with disappearing weapons in multiplayer, inaccurate capture probabilities tied to the Lifmunk Effigies, and missing wood drops when Pals felled trees.
Beyond bug fixes, the patch implements countermeasures against unspecified cheats and exploits. Pocketpair has not provided details on what cheating has been fixed, but I can still capture bosses, so it’s not that. We’ve already reported that Palworld wants to take on cheaters, so we may see that kind of thing in every patch.
Pocketpair said it would come “as soon as it is ready” in a tweet for those waiting on the Xbox version. Unfortunately, that is how things have been going for the Xbox side of every update for Palworld.
