The developers of the game Party Animals have announced a delay in the game’s release. The exciting brawl game that lets players engage in delightful furry combat as puppies, kittens, and other cuddly creatures, will now be launched on September 20, 2023.

Announced via the developer’s Twitter, they expressed regret for the delay, which was originally set for release in the first half of 2023. “We would like to apologize to our long-awaiting players. The game release, initially scheduled for the first half of 2023, has been delayed once again,” they stated. They confirmed the final launch date to be September 20, 2023, at 4 AM PST, with the initial platforms set to be Steam and Xbox.

The developers explained the reasons for the delay, citing that by the end of 2022, they had finished the development of in-game features and moved into the testing and bug-fixing phase. However, being their first game project, they miscalculated the time needed for bug fixes. Additionally, some essential approval processes also surpassed their expected timeline. “This was entirely due to our overly optimistic estimates and lack of experience, for which we deeply apologize,” they added.

Before the final launch, the developers have plans to ensure a smooth release. The game needs to secure final approvals from partner platforms and relevant regional authorities, without which the game cannot be released in certain regions. Moreover, to minimize potential server issues, the game will undergo at least two full-interface server stress tests.

Party Animals will be available in two editions – the Standard Edition for 20 USD and the Deluxe Edition for 30 USD. While both editions will feature all game maps, the Deluxe Edition will include exclusive character outfits and in-game currency. The content of the Deluxe Edition will be disclosed in future Dev Logs. The in-game currency, which can be earned by playing or leveling up, will be used to unlock characters or character outfits, and different outfits will not carry any stats or functional differences.

The developers also disclosed a delightful surprise for those who participated in the Demo in October 2020. “All Steam players who participated in the Demo will receive 10 ‘Surprise Egg’ vouchers in the game,” they revealed. These Surprise Eggs will contain various in-game characters, character outfits, avatar frames, and more.
