Roblox has announced the launch of the Events Platform for its global developer community. The platform aims to make events more valuable and accessible by empowering developers to create and schedule time-based events within their experiences.

The Events Platform, initially released in beta in January, is now available to all developers. This powerful tool enables creators to schedule special events, challenges, experience updates, offers, and more within their experiences. While the features are being gradually rolled out to users, all users will be able to see and interact with events in the coming weeks.

Creating an event generates an Event Details Page, displaying the title, description, media, and a countdown to the event’s start time. Users can easily share the page as a link, and when the event begins, they can click “Join Event” to participate in the experience. Upcoming and live events will be displayed on the experience details page, making it simple for users to find and learn about your upcoming events.

Users can opt-in to receive event-specific notifications by clicking “Notify Me” on the discovery surfaces. They will then receive “stream notifications” in their inbox when the event starts, allowing them to join with a single click. Additionally, users can opt-in to receive push notifications, which will notify them on their devices when an event starts.

Players who want to create an event can visit the Creator Dashboard in Creator Hub 3, where you will find events as a tab under the “Creations” page. From there, you can create and manage your events.

It is important to note that events need to be linked to an experience or group owned by the creator, and only group owners can create events for their developer groups. While there is a limit of 10 active events, creators can still have an unlimited number of drafts. To share events with users outside of the platform, a link to the event details page can be generated and shared.

With the Events Platform, Roblox aims to empower developers to bring their creativity to life and spotlight their unique creations.
