Starship Troopers: Extermination, the cooperative first-person shooter that thrusts players into a distant battle against alien Arachnids, has recently outlined its roadmap for early access. As part of the Deep Space Vanguard, players are entrusted with the mission to reclaim planets overrun by the Arachnid threat.
Developers of the game have recognized the players’ courage, acknowledging the valiant battles they’ve fought on the planet Valaka. However, they also forewarn that the challenges faced so far only represent the tip of the iceberg. The intel suggests that the Arachnids are expected to intensify their onslaught, launching attacks with increased strength and numbers. The battle to secure Valaka and future battlefields from these relentless creatures is projected to be a grueling ordeal.
Despite the foreseen hardships, the developers also bring a ray of hope for the troopers. A dossier outlining the roadmap for early access provides insight into the forthcoming strategies and reinforcements, which are aimed at empowering the troopers to effectively counter the evolving Arachnid threat. It’s important to note that this roadmap could potentially undergo changes based on player feedback and shifts in the game’s development.
The first phase entails the launch of ‘Assault and Secure Mode’ along with ‘ARC Slam Mode’. Following this, the second phase will introduce game mutators, a new ‘Horde Game Mode’, player profiles and statistics, manned Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) emplacements, and a new playable zone on the Valaka map.
Progressing into the third phase, players can anticipate an upgraded class progression system, abilities upgrades, the introduction of ‘Hives’, a rewards system, and the ability to swap special weapons.
The fourth phase brings a player hub, the introduction of emotes and clans, an array of new weapons, the formidable Boss Bug, Marauder support, and the addition of a whole new planet to the game.
In the final phase, a ‘Galactic War Meta-game’ will be introduced. This phase also involves player customization, a new trooper class, a global death counter, and an increase in gore content for the players who relish a more visceral experience.
