The Knight Witch is a metroidvania adventure game developed and released by Super Mega Team and Team17. It features fast-paced shoot em’ up combat in a stunning hand-drawn world. The Knight Witch was originally set to be released on November 29th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC via Steam.

Team17 has just announced that The Knight Witch’s release would be delayed due to gameplay speed being faster than intended. Team17 has decided to delay the launch of the game for Xbox, Windows 10, and PlayStation until Friday, December 2nd.

The gameplay issue with Knight Witch does not affect the Steam or GOG versions of the game, and both will launch on schedule. The Nintendo Switch version of the game will also release on schedule, although it may be impacted by the gameplay issue. Although the game is playable, it is not the version intended by the developers. A fix for the Nintendo Switch version is currently under development and will be implemented later this week.

In The Knight Witch, players will journey across Dungeonidas, and their heroic deeds and efforts will be seen and discussed by its citizens. Knight Witches grow stronger with gratitude and trust, which they might acquire in a variety of ways, but not all are genuine.

Players will be able to cast powerful card-based spells, establish deep connections, and make moral decisions – all while attempting to rescue their home and uncover the origin of the War Golem invasion. Players will confront evil enemies and decide whether to utilize their magic or weapons and wits to defeat them.

In addition, players will be able to personalize their own unique playstyle, enhancing their Knight’s powers for a faster-paced shoot em’ up experience, or enhancing their Witch’s magic and exploring a variety of deckbuilding tactics with over 30 distinct spell cards.
