Milestone has recently revealed plans for the release of Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged, the sequel to their popular title. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, as well as PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The launch is scheduled for October 19. A few details on the title were leaked last week.

The sequel takes the excitement of the first installment and supercharges it with an array of innovative features. Players can look forward to expanding their virtual vehicle collections, with access to more than 130 vehicles, including Hot Wheels originals, Monster Trucks, and vehicles inspired by the entertainment world. In addition to these, the game also introduces motorbikes and ATVs, each having unique racing styles, adding an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay.

In a new twist, the vehicles’ performance can be enhanced via a skill tree system that impacts their category classification, adding a layer of customization and progression to the gameplay.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged takes players to five new and breathtaking locations, each with unique terrains like grass and sand that will influence vehicle handling. These new environments will challenge the player’s strategic thinking when choosing a vehicle for the race.

The game includes additional stunts, including the Lateral Dash and Single or Double Jump, giving players new ways to outmaneuver opponents or bypass obstacles. Timing these moves accurately can result in successful overtakes, taking shortcuts, or finding secret paths.

Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged offers a variety of game modes catering to different playing styles, whether you seek adrenaline-filled races, challenging your own limits, or even being a fan of massive crashes. The game modes cater to these diverse styles, both offline and online.

The sequel brings back the acclaimed editors, letting players tap into their creativity with the comprehensive Track Editor. Players can design their dream track or even use top creations from the community. To complement these exciting tracks, the improved Livery Editor allows players to design their unique cars with new tools like the Stickers Editor, where they can design and save patterns and shapes.

In addition, the game introduces a campaign mode featuring a new, original story-driven adventure. Players become heroes, tasked with saving a city under attack from creatures, by participating in dedicated races and challenges.
