Yaza Games and Daedalic Entertainment, the development and publishing teams behind Inkulinati, have announced the launch of the second significant update for the medieval strategy game. Inkulinati, known for its unique blend of playful visuals and challenging strategy, has incorporated a host of player-requested updates and enhancements in this new release.
The update will be made available on Xbox One and Series X|S through Xbox Game Preview and Game Pass, as well as on PC and Mac via Steam Early Access, GOG Early Access, and the Microsoft Store for PC. As a celebration of this release, Inkulinati will be offering a 30% discount as part of Steam’s Midweek Madness, commencing on Monday, June 5th, at 6pm BST/7pm CEST, and running through to Thursday, June 8th, at 6pm BST/7pm CEST.
The latest update, which players can glimpse in a new trailer, offers a plethora of exciting changes. Among these are the introduction of new beasts, including two hares—larger and fiercer versions of rabbits—bees with deadly stings and tiny hats, and the formidable Dragon, the mightiest beast in all of Inkulinati. These additions serve to enrich the game’s existing bestiary and introduce fresh strategic elements.
Also included in the update is the introduction of a new battle type in Journey mode: Beast Lairs. These lairs appear on the battlefield, intermittently spawning opposing beasts. Victory in these battles is achieved not just by defeating the opposing forces, but by also destroying all the Beast Lairs present on the battlefield.

The update also debuts the Faculty System, which allows players to select a specialty as an Inkulinati Master at the beginning of the game. The system offers nine different Faculties, each representing a unique strategy or synergy to be employed during gameplay. Whether players prefer a more defensive approach, resisting being pushed off the battlefield, or an offensive strategy aimed at overcoming heretics, there is a Faculty tailored to fit their style.
A slew of gameplay updates further enhances the Inkulinati experience. These include a new Act unlocked after completing Journey mode for the second time, new leaderboards, a rating system, and new Non-Battle Locations featuring characters such as the Alchemist and the Princess. The update also introduces additional hand actions, increasing the depth and variety of the gameplay, thereby augmenting both the challenge and replayability of Inkulinati.
