Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 has just released another spotlight trailer, this time concentrating on the updated moveset for returning character Garfield.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is expected to launch on November 14th, 2023. It will be available on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation. You can watch today’s new Garfield trailer on publisher GameMill Entertainment YouTube channel:

The Monday release was no accident, and part of the social marketing, but still amusing. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 continues to reshape expectations with interesting new updates for the anticipated sequel. Assuming it can function properly, the volume of content and reworked movesets are almost certain to improve on the previous installment.

Garfield’s meta is built around his “Sugar Rush” meter, which transforms food pickups into extraordinary speed. Today’s trailer shows just how swift Garfield can potentially be, though his gauge works up quite the appetite to balance things out.

Beginners will likely have a hard time working with Garfield, building up the meter as needed, so the devs also implemented a short version that can be triggered earlier.

Garfield may be an all-rounder, but they already feel a little broken, even if it does look a lot better than his kit in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. While Garfield surely won’t achieve the same levels as Mortal Kombat 1’s Smoke, hands-on gameplay would be necessary to determine if controlling so much speed could be problematic with an all-rounder.

Garfield should also be balanced out by the side special, which players and opponents alike will have to keep track of carefully. Garfield will throw out three pies, each with different effects, and it’s much harder to strategically use such conditional moves.

Thus far, All-Star Brawl 2 has shown some promising updates to characters from the previous roster, as seen in the Nigel Thornberry spotlight.
