Misc Games announces 'Ships At Sea,' a follow-up to its successful maritime simulations, set to release in Early Access in 2024.

Get ready to set sail towards new horizons as Misc Games announces Ships At Sea, a simulator promising a high-definition experience of life on the open water. This upcoming release follows the success of the company’s previous nautical titles, Fishing: Barents Sea and Fishing: North Atlantic.

Set for an Early Access release in 2024, Ships At Sea transports players to the picturesque Lofoten region, nestled within Norway’s archipelago and oceanic expanses. The game debuts a new fleet of meticulously detailed service and cargo ships, along with introducing novel fishing methods, such as jigging.

Adding depth to the stunning graphics, Ships At Sea incorporates a robust economic system. This allows players to steer their maritime careers, navigating the turbulent waters of the fishing, service, and cargo industries.

Misc Games has also unveiled a multiplayer mode for Ships At Sea, accommodating a crew of up to four friends. This mode enhances the communal aspects of maritime life, including resource sharing, equipment purchasing, and ship maintenance, all essential components of a successful sea venture.

Utilizing the power of Unreal Engine 5, Ships At Sea boasts advanced features like the “WaveWorks” water shader from NVIDIA. This offers a breathtaking simulation of the sea, immersing players in an impressively authentic water world. The game also incorporates a dynamic weather system that brings to life various weather conditions, such as rain, fog, and storms.

Ships At Sea also introduces an innovative tracking system, called PingMe equipment by Ocean Space Acoustics. This feature attaches to fishing gear, facilitating its location and ensuring no equipment gets left behind. Additionally, a new marine life AI system adds further realism to the fishing experience, taking into account factors such as water temperature.

Ships At Sea is set to provide a simulation experience for maritime enthusiasts, offering stunning graphics, new gameplay features, and multiplayer mode. As players navigate through the high seas, they can enjoy a range of key features such as boat and character customization, new dynamic economic and weather systems, improved fishing methods, and new marine life AI systems. The game also introduces new fish species like halibut, salmon, and spotted catfish. Notably, Ships At Sea is in partnership with established brands like Ocean Space Acoustics, Lorentzen Hydraulikk, Østbornholms Kuttersevice, and Breeze for ships and equipment.
