Tiny Thor is an upcoming precision platformer, featuring retro-style 16-bit graphics, developed by Asylum Square and published by Gameforge. In this game, players will control the Norse hero, Thor, who has just been bestowed with the hammer Mjölnir by Odin. The gameplay is centered around using Mjölnir, guiding Thor through increasingly difficult levels filled with a variety of obstacles.

As of now, there is no specific release date announced for Tiny Thor but is expected to launch sometime in the second quarter of 2023 for PC and Nintendo Switch. Tiny Thor has released a new trailer, highlighting its gameplay elements, as well as some of the game’s enemies and levels. Tiny Thor is punctuated with exhilarating boss battles which will test the son of Odin. Each realm features a set of formidable foes who are motivated to thwart Thor’s ascent to godhood.

The hammer Mjölnir can be freely aimed and bounces off surfaces and enemies, enabling all kinds of trick shots. It can also be used to solve environmental puzzles using it as well as ricochet off of objects to defeat adversaries in unique ways. Thor will be able to master different ricocheting hammer throws, and he will use these newly gained skills to explore over 30 handcrafted levels that are spread across three separate realms, each of which has its own set of challenging and evil bosses.

Tiny Thor offers a sense of familiarity that appeals to retro game fans while yet being unique in its own right. This 16-bit platformer combines classic gameplay with modern mechanics, including precise controls and fast-paced action. Tiny Thor begins as a relatively simple platformer and evolves as players earn various skills.

You may add Tiny Thor to your Steam and Epic Games Store wishlist now to be alerted when it becomes available for PC.
