The 1990s created some amazing horror RPG titles, including launching the monumental Resident Evil series that we continue to see to this day. That huge decade has inspired numerous titles, including Alisa, which was initially released in 2021 but is getting a Developer’s Cut on Xbox, complete with a demo that’s available now.
The demo is likely very similar to the one released on Steam, although it’s probably optimized for the Xbox controller and that system’s capabilities. Alisa is not a graphically intense title, which actually makes the monsters and scenes of drama a little more unnerving than if they were realistic. Even still, it’s a mesmerizing adventure with a demo that’s likely to entice players ahead of its release.
In the replies to the tweet above, one user requested that the game come to consoles, to which developer Casper Croes gave a very coy laugh response. It seems that the developer had plans that the user had managed to guess. However, it seems like the game is only coming to Xbox for now, as there is no current listing on either PlayStation or the Nintendo Switch.
It’s unlikely this is an exclusivity issue, as Alisa hasn’t been revealed to be coming to Game Pass, so Croes may have to develop one system at a time. A good reception for this demo, followed by success on the platform as a full title will likely show a good opportunity to port it to other platforms as well, with the Nintendo Switch feeling like a great platform for it.
