Naraka: Bladepoint, the popular battle royale fighting game from developer 24 Entertainment, has just released a new trailer for a Vegetable Fairy collaboration. The event will feature a themed Polesword Skin, a legendary head accessory, and more. This small crossover is slated to roll out tomorrow on April 27th, 2023, and will run until May 24th, 2023.

Naraka: Bladepoint is available now on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. You can watch today’s new crossover trailer on the Naraka: Bladepoint YouTube channel:

Naraka: Bladepoint has certainly embraced its more playful side with this collaboration, which has proven just a little divisive. Most casual players have enjoyed the unapologetic adorableness, while others have been somewhat dismayed at how strange these cosmetics will feel in-game.

After all, Naraka: Bladepoint has had more than a few other collaborations with more serious titles like Shadow Warrior and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Introducing a parade of cabbage-headed players and matching poleswords could break the immersion just a bit.

Although there are already some outlandish cosmetics to begin with, something like Vegetable Fairy does potentially open the door to even stranger collaborations, which could eventually compromise the hardcore warrior theme. Still, the crossover does have a special kind of cultural and upbeat style.

Either way, the trailer certainly has a cute and creative cinematic, as well as some gameplay to see how the new cosmetics will look in-game. They’re really quite detailed, and the weapon in particular doesn’t actually stand out all too much. It’s the head accessory and cabbage dog laugh that will probably draw the line for skeptics.

The event coincides with the latest chapter of Campaign Mode: Showdown, for longtime fans that are hoping for something more traditional:
