Greek mythology has been ripe with potential in games lately, with everything from Assassin’s Creed to God of War showing the monumental figures from ancient stories. Achille: Legends Untold is set to launch into the full game soon, but developer Rock Point Games has delivered a 12 minute Minotaur preview ahead of the full release.

In the trailer, players can get a look at the main character as they fight through different terrain in a top-down combat system reminiscent of Diablo. However, Achilles: Legends Untold is making its own name since its launch into early access in May of last year, featuring the monumental figures from the mythology like the Minotaur in the trailer below.

Rock Point shows off a variety of combat, revealing the more tactical nature of playing around your enemy’s attacks. As opposed to Diablo, this title seems to have combat that prioritizes dodges, stamina, and evades, similar to some of more hardcore action titles in recent years. the player will often have to contend with monsters much larger than they are, which can build a sort of tension in the dark dungeons.

Rock Point has not given an official release date for the full launch, only that it is getting closer to announcing that every day. Players can likely anticipate a full announcement for the full release of Achilles: Legends Untold in the next weeks or months as we get closer to the end of the year.
