Superfuse, a stylish hack and slash RPG from developer Stitch Heads Entertainment and publisher Raw Fury, has just revealed some key details about a big update coming in August 2023.

The update will introduce a variety of quality-of-life improvements and fresh content. This includes polishing the combat system and increasing the level cap, as well as adding new heroes, a chapter on Earth, and more.

Superfuse originally launched into Early Access in January 2023, and that version is available now on PC via Steam. You can find a full list of the devs’ plans for Autumn in an official promo image, as seen in today’s new blog post on Steam:

Superfuse has received a lot of mixed reviews after launching into Early Access, and negativity has only grown since our in-depth preview. This feedback has largely been directed at the variety of bugs, and the general lack of communication from the devs. Without any tangible updates, players even began to assume this game would be abandoned.

In today’s Steam post, the devs explain they were waiting to feel confident that they could actually deliver on any announced plans. The devs don’t cite any particular reason for the delayed announcements other than “unexpected challenges”. It remains to be seen if today’s post will be enough to restore trust in those who invested in Superfuse.

Earth plays a special role in the lore of Superfuse, where it has become notoriously dangerous. There’s a lot of potential in visiting Earth, to live up to that reputation and develop new context for the broader mythology.

The breadth of new content is impressive, with new game modes, heroes, and even smaller details like the waypoint menu that will improve flow. Hopefully, the devs were equally dedicated to repairing bugs.
