It’s been a good decade for battle royales, with seemingly every genre trying to get in on the action of outlasting opponents. Now it appears the AEW: Fight Forever wrestling game is planned to get its own “Stadium Stampede” battle royale mode sometime soon, according to a new teaser trailer put out by the All Elite Wrestling channel.
In the 30-second teaser uploaded to YouTube, players can see the chaos that can be expected from putting a large number of professional wrestlers in one stadium. There are classic professional wrestling moves but fans will also notice someone riding a horse across the fighting and t-shirt cannons among the other chaos happening everywhere.
As with typical battle royale game modes, the teaser trailer makes clear that AEW: Fight Forever will follow the standard rule of the winner being the last wrestler standing. The trailer says that there will be a free download available soon, but it’s unclear if it will be a program separate from the main AEW title or just as a free DLC that will come to those who already own the game.
AEW: Fight Forever is able to take on some of the wackier moments that professional wrestling has become known for and that seems to be taken to a whole new level in the Stadium Stampede mode. It’s unclear how the combat will work or how long each round can last, but players likely won’t have to wait long before the new mode is released.
Players can currently find AEW: Fight Forever on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Windows.
