There’s something about being on the open road without a care in the world that makes you feel free, and Alaskan Road Truckers has promised to give players this feeling by allowing them to play as a trucker. Today, developers Movie Games S.A. and Road Studio have announced the official PC release date for Alaskan Road Truckers as Oct. 18, 2023, followed by consoles.
The news of the release date comes alongside a trailer from publisher Green Man Gaming, showing the player character navigating the pre-trip check of their truck. As it drives off, players can see the release date printed on the side of the trailer. While short, this new trailer for Alaskan Road Truckers does show that the developer has put the focus on an individual trucker.
To celebrate the new release date, players will be able to watch the first gameplay broadcast of Alaskan Road Truckers ever on the game’s Steam page now. Fans who are at Gamescom can also play for themselves at the Green Man Gaming booth in Consumer Hall 6.1. Players can get a taste of the first-person trucker action and try their hand at the rough roads waiting for them in Alaska.
While the release date for the PC version of Alaskan Road Truckers has been announced for Oct. 18, the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 versions are just listed to be coming at some point following the PC launch.
