Saints Row recently announced that the fourth installment in the series will be upgraded to Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for free. Saints Row IV was first released in 2013 and has received favorable reviews over the years, allowing for the continuous release of expansion packs.
On December 8th, all copies of Saints Row IV will be upgraded to Saints Row IV: Re-Elected for free. This upgrade will also contain the Saints Row IV: Game of the Century Edition. This indicates that players who own Saints Row IV in any capacity will be automatically upgraded to Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, and as a result, they will have access to the downloadable content packs that are included with the game, which are as follows:

- Child’s Play Pack (PC only and sold for charity)

All other versions and individual DLC will no longer be available for purchase or usage on December 8th as well. Nonetheless, the player’s saves and achievements will be transferred, allowing them to continue playing as usual. Mods should not also be affected by the upgrade’s release.
This upgrade will go live on December 8 for Windows players and later for Linux users. Apart from the Saints Row IV update, the PC version of Saints Row will support crossplay, allowing players on Epic Games and GOG to join friends on another launcher.
