What are Spirit Wisps Used for in Anime Vanguards?

Spirit Wisps are used for summoning on the Occult Banner. This banner offers chances to obtain skins for mythical units, exclusive units (like Pweeny and Mimi), a secret skin for Igros, and the new Vanguard, Divalo.

How to Get and Farm Spirit Wisps in Anime Vanguards

The most efficient way to farm Spirit Wisps is through the infinite mode on Mountain Shrine (Natural) if you do not want to pay Robux to get them, which, of course, is the fastest method by far. To access it, you must first clear Acts 1, 2, and 3 of Mountain Shrine (Natural).

Key Modifiers and Talismans

Modifiers are new to Anime Vanguards and allow players to make things easier or harder for them. But it’s very much a risk-reward scenario. As the harder it gets, the more Spirit Wisps you will get.

  • King’s Burden: Grants the Monarch trait to all your units, making summoners exceptionally powerful. This does reduce gold income, but the trade-off is worth it.
  • Press It: Increases active ability cooldown timers by 50%.
  • Difficulty Modifiers: These increase the difficulty and the Spirit Wisp rewards. Wait until after wave 10 (when the first boss appears) to start picking these. Recommended modifiers include “Strong” and “Speed.”
    • Avoid “Dodge” as it can make the game unnecessarily frustrating.
  • Talismans: Essential for damaging certain bosses that are immune to regular attacks. Aim for at least two talismans.

Now, you want to keep on restarting the match until you get King’s Burden. To do this, press the Settings Cog/Gear at the bottom left of the screen and click on Restart.

Difficulty Modifiers and Spirit Wisp Rewards

Higher difficulty translates to greater Spirit Wisp rewards. “Strong” and “Speed” each grant a 35% event currency bonus. Tailor the difficulty to your team’s strength and comfort level. Don’t add difficulty modifiers before Wave 10, as this can make early waves too challenging.

Best Unit Setup for Infinite Mode

Now, this is the meta team and unit set up for this mode, but you don’t need this setup. This is purely to get the best amount of Spirit Wisps.

  • Essential Summoners:
    • Song Jinwu: Powerful summons, especially with the Monarch trait.
    • Alucard: Another strong summoner, further enhanced by Monarch.
  • High-Damage DPS:
    • Gojo: Highest Monarch damage in the game, immune to stuns, and has a slow/stun ability.
    • Igis: High damage, unaffected by stuns.
  • Support Units:
    • Julius: Benefits from Monarch, providing additional damage.
    • Takara: Helps increase gold income, even with the King’s Burden modifier.
    • Alternative: Toi can replace Alucard if you don’t have him.

General Tips for Farming Spirit Wisps

  • Farming Spirit Wisps takes time and patience.
  • Experiment with different unit combinations and modifiers to find what works best for you.
  • This game mode cannot be effectively macroed due to the talisman requirement for certain bosses. Active play is rewarded.
  • Aim for a balance between difficulty and clear speed. While higher difficulty yields more Spirit Wisps, failing a run yields none.
  • The example provided in the transcript reached 3,000 Spirit Wisps in a single infinite run, but some players achieve 4,000-5,000 with optimized strategies.
