Apex Legends just confirmed rumors that a new SFTO cinematic will premiere on June 14th, at 8 AM pacific time.

Here’s the tweet from the game’s official feed, teasing fans with a brief image that reveals a lot more than casual players might realize:

Lifeline mains have had a rough time lately, as the latest legend Newcastle and smart supply bins continue to damage her meta.

However, the devs may finally show Lifeline some love with tomorrow’s upcoming cinematic. This would make sense, given that Lifeline’s town takeover for Olympus was recently leaked.

The official teaser image from Apex’s post shows off a media player with album artwork for “Flyer Liars”, which is actually Lifeline’s old punk rock band and the reason for her drumstick heirloom.

Last week, the voice actress for Lifeline also hinted the legend would get more attention in this tweet:

Lifeline’s family history has offered a lot of intrigue and drama, and according to the title, that’s going to be the central plot of tomorrow’s new SFTO. In fact, Lifeline first left home to join the Flyer Liars because she disagreed with her parents’ war profiteering.

Most recently, Lifeline had friction with Octane in “The Perfect Son” and a secret about Cherisse Che was revealed.

The lore and characterization are some of the best attributes of Apex Legends, so hopefully the next cinematic will be longer than some previous entries. The actual runtime for tomorrow’s story may have been leaked here, and if so, it would definitely provide a lot of opportunities for worldbuilding:

While buffs and nerfs seem to be the least of the dev’s worries, given all of the new troubles with their divisive ranked system this season, hopefully a new cinematic will stir up renewed interest in Lifeline.
