Apex Legends is one of the hottest live-service games on the market, constantly introducing new characters and events to draw its audience in. More recently, this has meant new arena modes that shake up how players think about the game. With the Warriors Collection Event, Respawn Entertainment is bringing back one of its most popular modes, Control.

From March 29 until April 12, players will be able to take part in the Control game mode. This mode pits players against each other in a 9v9 mode. In the next two weeks, players will be able to participate in this mode and earn the cosmetics that come with it.

Apex Legends Caustic Lab

The Caustic Treatment map has been converted into a three-point arena where players will fight for control over Kings Canyon. To make for a better map, additional cover, ziplines, skydivers, and more have been added to help to balance the area and improve the flow to and from the control points.

Caustic’s Lab is one of the most defensible positions on the map but can be overcome if the attacking team can coordinate and communicate while pushing. It won’t be too difficult to defeat or push the enemies out of the zone if you time it well. There’s also a terminal inside Caustic’s Lab that will raise the toxin levels in the surrounding area, causing damage to anyone on point B.

Apex Adds New Arena Map: Drop-Off

Apex Legends Hammond

This new map is meant for the more recent Arena mode that puts small teams of players against one another. The Hammond Robotics lab is still operational, but fighters use it for Arena matches under the night sky. The interior of Drop-Off features areas like the Observation Deck and Deployment Line, while the exterior holds the Loading Bay.

While the Observation Deck provides a height advantage, low ceilings prevent some champions from making the most out of their abilities. The Deployment Line divides the map in two, leading to the other side, but it’s got a clear line of sight from the observation deck. You can use the moving containers to hide behind or as a trap that you unleash on an unsuspecting enemy.

However players decide to enjoy the new event, they’ll need to make sure they earn all the rewards by April 12. While the Drop-Off map is likely to stay, the Control mode and event-specific cosmetics are limited-time items.
