For the first time, Apex Legends will now offer cosmetic bundles that celebrate professional eSports teams participating in the Apex Legends Global Series.

Here’s the official announcement from Apex Legends’ eSports feed, reminding fans that the tournament will run between July 7th and July 10th:

Apex Legends has faced harsh criticism once again, ahead of its biggest championship yet. Unfortunately, a variety of bugs continue to impact gameplay in crucial ways.

This includes problems with Loba’s tactical, and players losing their abilities after crafting materials. These issues could seriously affect the tournament itself, so hopefully everything will be in order when the tournament begins in just a couple of days.

ALGS Team Shop breakdown

The Apex Legends Global Series Team Shop will be available in-game through July 19th, 2022, offering team-branded Epic Banner Frames. These banners will be included in various bundles, including the unique themes of 10 different teams.

Between July 5th and July 12th, fans can find banners for 100 Thieves, Crazy Raccoon, Cloud9, NRG and TSM FTX. TSM’s official Twitter feed released a teaser for their own bundle, which includes the steampunk “Clockwork” Octane skin:

For the second week, July 12th to July 19th, fans can grab bundles for NaVi, Alliance, G2 Esports, Complexity, and Team Liquid.

All ten of these teams have memorable wins and personalities, so you can finally show your support in-game. However, purchasing the bundles will also send a small amount of money to the team itself, too.

This tie-in shop is a clever way to market the ALGS, since it helps fans express their support for individual orgs that have their own iconic players.

Still, the cosmetics continue to be overpriced, as usual. Only offering banner frames is somewhat disappointing. After all, they can’t be shared with opponents unless you’re the champion squad. A holospray or some skins would’ve been far more satisfying and noticeable.
