In the not-so-distant future when AI has become a major threat to humanity, the remnants of civilization in Ashfall will band together to save what little remains. Players who are eager to check out the title for themselves can do so right now during the Ashfall Closed Beta, starting today and running until August 17.

Players who want to sign up for the beta access can do so by visiting the Ashfall website or the Steam page, which will put in a request for access. As long as your Steam account is in good standing, you should be able to get access relatively quickly. All you need to do is navigate to the Steam page in the app and click the “Request Access” button under the Wishlist option.

Ashfall looks to take a unique look at the post-apocalyptic RPG with the hope of creating an adventure that is just as fun to play alone as it is with others. The large expansive world will encourage players to use unique mounts to traverse the deserted world. The trailer shows characters using modern guns to take on different foes like robots and mutants.

There seem to be extensive crafting and decoration systems that will allow players to fully customize their load-outs and ensure their experience is completely customized.

While there is no cemented release date, Ashfall is expected to release sometime in Q3 2024, meaning between July and September. With the Closed Beta running today, it likely means the game is in a fairly stable state, so there may be more information released soon.
