Backfirewall_ is a first-person tragicomic narrative adventure game developed by Naraven Games and published by All in! Games. In this game, players will take on the role of an update assistant inside a smartphone. Players will be tasked to solve puzzles to counter the update and save the previous operating system from deletion.
Recently, All in! Games published a new trailer for Backfirewall_, revealing the release of the game on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on January 30th. Backfirewall was also confirmed for a launch on Nintendo Switch, although its release date is still unknown. In Backfirewall_, players will go on a humorous escapade through various areas of a smartphone and solve clever puzzles. Furthermore, they will meet colorful apps that inhabit the smartphone and have their own opinions about their boss, the update, and the godlike user. As the update assistant, players hold the fate of the System in their hands. It is up to them to decide if they will oppose the update and save the chatty operating system OS9 from deletion.
