Larian Studios, the developer of Baldur’s Gate 3, urged potential buyers to avoid purchasing the game’s Deluxe Edition from third parties. The studio has stated that the Deluxe Edition is not a limited edition and that there will be no stock shortages. Additionally, Larian Studios has confirmed that it has already surpassed the minimum order quantity for the Deluxe Edition and is prepared to increase the size of shipping waves if necessary.
The Director of Publishing for Larian Studios, Michael Douse, tweeted to customers that they didn’t need to worry about shortages for Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition. They were ready to meet more demands and ” if you see them online being resold based on confirmed preorders at higher prices, skip it. There won’t be stock scarcity.”
The warning comes in response to reports of third-party sellers attempting to resell the Deluxe Edition at inflated prices. Larian Studios has stressed that there is no need to overpay for the Deluxe Edition and that there will be ample supply to meet demand.
Douse wanted the company to be clear that “the Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition is not a limited edition.” There will be no stock shortages, and they are committed to ensuring that everyone who wants a copy of the Deluxe Edition can get one at the retail price.
The Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition includes a variety of additional content, such as a digital soundtrack, a digital artbook, and in-game items. The Deluxe Edition is currently available for pre-order on the Larian Studios website for $80. This is only $10 more than the price of a regular video game.
Since Baldur’s Gate 3 is a contender for Game of the Year at the Game Awards, it’s almost a steal at those prices. Luckily, the studio is ensuring everyone that there will be plenty of stock available.
