The premier Japanese gaming showcase, the Tokyo Game Show, is getting ready for the 2023 event in just under a month, with known Japanese developers like Bandai Namco in attendance. The developer and publisher have announced that not only will it be giving more info on existing projects like Blue Protocol, but something secret from Bandai Namco is being revealed on Sep. 23.

Players can see the current event listing for Bandai Namco at the Tokyo Game Show 2023, which was compiled by Gematsu. Scrolling down to Sep. 23 shows that there is some kind of mystery title in development, with a few question marks with a simple line to text that reads “Coming soon.” Some have taken this to mean that Bandai is announcing a new game, but nothing is certain.

There have been a number of rumors in recent months about new titles in the works at Bandai Namco, but nothing is certain since the developer has so many existing IPs. It could just as easily be an entirely new IP, as that’s something that the developer has done on multiple occasions with titles like Blue Protocol being planned for a showcase.

At the same time, the developer will also be showing off major collaborations with popular entertainment franchises in the multiple broadcasts from the My Hero Ultra Rumble game. Bandai could just as easily announce a new partnership with an anime or other Japanese game property, nothing is known at the moment.
