Slifer the Sky Dragon has always been my favorite of the three god cards. This card is just so cool, and having it as part of my collection has always been a source of pride. In this guide, I’ll show you how I build a deck around Slifer the Sky Dragon in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.
Best Slifer the Sky Dragon Deck
A good Slifer deck is going to need two things; Hard to remove monsters and draw cards. You need monsters that can be easily summoned (without tribute or difficult summon conditions) and can’t be removed through battle, and draw cards not only to get Slifer in your hand early but to buff his attack when he’s on the field.

Slifer the Sky Dragon is a card that requires a ton of commitment to play. The legendary dragon requires three whole tributes to play, and a decent amount of cards in hand to make the most of his effect. Committing a deck to Slifer means having a lot of cards dedicated to easily summoning and buffing him, and while this makes your deck very focused towards one win condition, it also makes it pretty simple to play.
How To Play The Deck
Your first priority with this deck is to get Slifer on the field as fast as possible. Try to go first if you can, as you want to set up before your opponent and you won’t be attacking with your early monsters anyway. If Slifer isn’t in your hand, use your draw cards to get him there.
Don’t be afraid to use Infinite Cards early on, as its effect will still be useful when Slifer is on the field. Remember, Slifer gains 1000 ATK for each card in your hand, so Infinite Cards has a ton of value in this deck in wouldn’t have in others.
Getting to Slifer’s summon can feel like a game of survival. While your monsters have “Cannot be destroyed by battle,” you still take life point damage when they’re attacked, and their very small ATK and DEF numbers mean you’ll be taking a lot of damage until Slifer is on the Field. A great card for counteracting this dilemma is Aroma Jar, which cannot be destroyed by battle and gives you 500 LP during each end phase.
Foolish Burial and Call of the Haunted can be combo’d to bring Slifer out really fast. To do this, make sure Call of the Haunted is already set on the field. Then, use Foolish Burial to send Slifer from your deck into your GY, then activate Call of the Haunted to bring him to the field.
When you’re ready to summon Slifer, you want to be sure that you have Mound of the Bound Creator to protect him from spell and trap cards. Terraforming becomes really important here, so use it if you don’t have a Mound Bound in your hand already.
Thunderforce Attack can make for a powerful OTK combo. Use it to wipe an opponent’s carefully built board before the battle phase. Then, after drawing cards equal to the amount of cards destroyed, attack their life points directly with Slifer and watch the sparks fly.

You can summon Slifer for one turn until the end phase with your Call of the Haunted… Thats about it. Maybe note that to. It will otherwise bring some confusion.
The whole strategy with call of the haunted doesnt work on Divine beasts cause they dont
Would almost be better to use the Joker’s Straight deck theme since one spell card can get 3 monsters on the field and they keep adding cards back to your hang during end phase.
what about extra deck
