A new update has been released for BitLife on September 8th, 2021, but unfortunately it’s not the release that players will be hoping to get. While there have been some teasers, it still seems like there’s a fair amount of time before we get a big content release for the game.

BitLife 1.49 Patch Notes

Bitizens! This new version includes routine maintenance and bug fixes. We’re going to be letting the cat out of the bag on some huge BitLife news soon – follow us on our socials to be among the first to know!

This is obviously a disappointing update for the many players of BitLife, because there hasn’t been a major content release since the Mafia patch was added to the game in December 2020. However, it does finally sound like we are close to getting news on whatever this next big patch is going to be.

There was a small teaser posted to the YouTube channel where you were playing as a cat and running away from a dog. This has made a lot of people feel like the next update will be pet related.

As you can see from the description in the patch notes, they also reference “letting the cat out of the bag” which has been something they seem to clearly be hinting with. This is the description from the above YouTube video:

We’re working on something big for you cats!

This also came from their Twitter and while it could have actually been raining, it also seems likely that it was a hint towards the update:

It’s raining cats and dogs at the BitLife office today!

While this wasn’t the update we expected, it does seem like we’re finally getting close to an announcement. We’ll just have to wait and see what Candywriter has in store for us!
