The BitLife Movie Star Update was released on March 10th, 2022! This has been a long-time coming, because it has been a long while since the game has brought any new content to the game. Unfortunately, this is not a free update unless you were a Bitizen member prior a certain amount of time prior to the release. While that might be the case, purchasing the release will give you access to quite a few new features that will allow you to pursue various acting careers!
Here’s the official word from BitLife on Reddit about Bitizenship and receiving the new content:
For a period of time in 2019 and early 2020, our Bitizenship screen advertised “All future content” on it. Don’t worry: if you purchased Bitizenship before March 31, 2020, when this offering was present, you will automatically receive free access to “Boss Mode” which includes the “Actor Job Pack” and any future job packs.
Bitizens who aren’t seeing the Movie Star job available to them should press the Restore Earlier Purchases option that can be found in the Settings. You can also try restarting your game entirely by closing out of the app.
If you have automatic updates on your device, you might not have received this release. Head to the App Store, and see if the update button is available so that you can download it.
