On your journey through Cvstodia in Blasphemous 2, you’ll come across an intriguing NPC named Yerma. The Blasphemous series is good at creating vague but likable NPCs. Like you, the Penitent One, Yerma has her own mission. She needs assistance, and you can be the one to help her.

How to complete Yerma’s questline in Blasphemous 2
Yerma Meeting 1 – Profundo Lamento – Blasphemous 2
In the Profundo Lamento area, you’ll encounter Yerma for the first time in Blasphemous 2. She appears in a room after defeating a formidable swordsman below the City of the Blessed Name. After speaking to her, you’ll receive a basic understanding of her character. Before she exits, she’ll hand you the Steely Battle Lance item, a tool that unlocks Weapon Memories, allowing you up upgrade your weapons using Marks of Martyrdom. Now carry on and attempt to get to the golden bowl filled with Tears of Atonement, but instead fall through the tall room to find the Ivy of Ascension ability that allows you to climb up metal walls.
Yerma Meeting 2 – Sacred Entombments – Blasphemous 2
As you journey through the Sacred Entombments, you’ll see Yerma again. She’s near the entrance of the Great Receptor Radames boss after getting Veredicto. When you talk to her, she’ll ask if she can assist you during the ensuing boss fight.
Yerma Meeting 3 – Beneath Her Sacred Grounds – Blasphemous 2
Your journey continues to the Beneath Her Sacred Grounds area. At the very bottom, close to the Prie Dieu, Yerma will be there. She’ll ask again if you need her help, and she’ll support you against the formidable Afilaor, Sentinel of the Emery boss. Pro tip: To save time, head to the Elevated Temples as soon as you acquire Scions’ Protection, as Yerma will ask for this in Twin Moons.
Where To Find The Holy Oil of Everlasting Anointment in Blasphemous 2?
For the Holy Oil, head to the top of the Elevated Temples’ far-left Prie Dieu. After a two-floor descent, take a right turn. There’s a room there, accessible only with the Scions’ Protection Ability, to grab hold of the golden ornaments along with Mercy of the Wind (air dash.) Inside, the Holy Oil awaits, along with a handy shortcut. I recall feeling a rush of satisfaction when I finally located this item—it’s tucked away but worth the search.
Yerma Meeting 4 – Two Moons – Blasphemous 2
In the Twin Moons zone, your last meeting with Yerma takes place. She’ll ask for Holy Oil for her spear, preparing her for a crucial boss fight against Svonsa. She’s located right before the boss’s room. I used Ruego Al Alba here and destroyed this boss, if you have the oil here is where you complete Yermas questline.
Yerma Quest Rewards in Blasphemous 2
Once you’ve secured the Holy Oil, return to Yerma in Twin Moons. When you aid her in her final showdown and succeed against Svsona, Fermosa Fembra, you’ll have completed Yerma’s quest. As a thank-you, she rewards you with the Zejel of the Cruelst Thorn Prayer. but you’ll miss out on a Rosary bead, Chisel-Engraved Wounds Rosary Bead, but you can get it later in Casto’s shop, in next to Streets of Wakes.
What Happens if You Don’t Help Yerma in Blasphemous 2?
Another possible outcome exists. If you decline Yerma’s requests or don’t have the Holy Oil, Yerma meets a tragic end. In the aftermath of your battle with Svsona, you’ll find Yerma’s remains, from which you can retrieve the Chisel-Engraved Wounds Rosary Bead. The Zejel of the Cruelst Thorn Prayer then becomes available at Casto’s shop in Streets of Wakes.
