Blizzard has provided an update on the status of Diablo 4’s Open Beta, expressing gratitude to players for their participation and enthusiasm. With the launch set for June, these beta tests are crucial to improving the gaming experience. The Open Beta has seen a record number of players logging in to test the two new available classes, Druid and Necromancer.

Blizzard is actively working on addressing several issues that have surfaced since the start of the Open Beta. Some of the major items under investigation include:

  1. Disconnect and Rejoin Issues: Players have reported disconnections from the game, followed by an inability to rejoin. This issue is linked to party errors and network performance issues in-game.
  2. Fullscreen Alt-Tab Crash on Windows: Windows users may experience a crash when alt-tabbing while in fullscreen mode. A workaround can be found in this thread.
  3. In-Game Voice Dialogue Issues: Some users are encountering problems with in-game voice dialogue. To resolve this issue, users should exit the game, go to their game settings, and adjust the language settings to English. English is the only language available for voice dialogue in the beta, but more languages will be offered in the final game.

In addition to the above-listed issues, Blizzard is working on numerous other reported items, with plans to address them either during the beta or before launch. As they previously noted, players can expect queue times to fluctuate over the weekend as the team manages player traffic and tackles the issues. Server maintenance and updates may require temporary downtime, but Blizzard will notify the community beforehand.

Blizzard plans to continue providing updates either later this evening or tomorrow morning (PDT) as more information becomes available.

The Diablo 4 Open Beta is a critical stage in the game’s development, and Blizzard is actively working on addressing reported issues. The enthusiasm and feedback from players are invaluable as the team works to deliver a polished Diablo 4 experience come June. Stay tuned for further updates on the Open Beta’s progress and fixes.
