Broforce is one of the most American games ever released, featuring a range of iconic characters based on action movie heroes or stereotypes in general. After being released in 2015 and ending updates a while ago, it seems like developer Free Lives is coming back to Broforce one more time with the Forever update, now confirmed for planned release sometime this summer.
In a tweet posted around 8 a.m. PT, developer Free Lives restated that it’s working on the Broforce Forever update with new information about it being planned for this summer. The tweet also mentions that this is barring any new issues as the update has seemingly taken longer than the team expected. Free Lives signs off with a celebratory message for Independence Day before showing an image of the update.
The trailer shows all the iconic characters from the game standing together in a large ensemble scene with the “Broforce Forever” logo above them. There’s also a large devil in the background, likely meaning that either the Broforce is going to Hell or the demons are coming to threaten America. It’s unclear how big of an update it will be, but it’s clear that it’s taken Free Lives more time than expected to release it.
Players who want to get the game ahead of the update can currently grab the game during the Steam Summer Sale 2023 for $3 plus local taxes. This will allow players to get the game at a bargain price ahead of the update, which is sure to bring new characters and levels that will only add to the value of the title.
