Lost Ark has been out in the West for nearly two weeks, inviting players to explore a vast world of mystery and treasure. However, just because the game launched three years ago in South Korea doesn’t mean that the English version launched without its issues. As one of the hottest games on Steam right now, Lost Ark’s bugs and other problems are being put on full blast around the internet.
In a recent post made to Steam, Smilegate points out some issues that its aware of and how it plans to implement fixes in the coming weeks. These problems range from typical popularity issues to glitches and other technical problems that require further study.
Functionality Updates for Lost Ark
With a game that has earned as many players as Lost Ark, it’s bound to eventually run into some problems that show up through constant use. For example, matchmaking’s functionality is mentioned in the Steam post, which keeps some players from adequately going through dungeons and other areas with an entire team. Smilegate put a patch in place for this on February 20th. In addition, there are more matchmaking errors that Smilegate is looking at, with a fix coming soon.
Some players have been begging for the option to switch servers so that players can join their friends after they’ve already created and leveled their main character. Smilegate lets players know that Server Transfer is currently in its early stages in Korea and is currently incompatible with the western version of Lost Ark. However, the team states that it will exhaust all attempts to try to make server transfers a possibility.
Fraud and Scams in Lost Ark
Lost Ark has a problem with people claiming to sell the in-game currency to unsuspecting players in what seems to be a common issue for hit MMOs. These gold sellers will spam in the chat in the hopes of winning over one person who’ll hand over account or payment information. While Smilegate works on this, you can always create your chat window and include all the channels that don’t have those spammers.
Lost Ark is also ensuring it isn’t at fault for fraudulent purchases inside the game store. There will now be different error messages to allow players to understand why their transactions were declined.
While the game has only been out for a couple of weeks, Smilegate RPG is working hard to ensure that players have the most fluid experience they can.
