The game Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, created by developer Tomas Sala, has been released for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. The game is set in a war-torn world called Ursee, where players are tasked with rebuilding and developing their own territory in the rugged landscape.
What is interesting is what came with the press release announcement for the launch. Wired Productions and Tomas Sala have confirmed that Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is the second installment in a planned trilogy. Sala is already working on the saga’s final chapter, which is currently under the working title of Project Ancient Waves. This third game promises a shift in perspective, focusing on the individuals who inhabit this captivating world. Ancient Waves will explore the human stories behind the grand events that have shaped The Falconeer Chronicles universe.
Tomas Sala recently expressed mixed feelings about the new release Bulwark. He emphasized his interest in capturing the “joy of creation” and invited players to join the adventure of discovery and exploration. Sala is dedicated to providing a full year of post-launch support for Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles. A roadmap is set to be revealed in late April, outlining various free and paid updates to expand the gameplay and overall story.
Sala’s plan for the trilogy is ambitious. He says that The Falconeer showed a society in conflict, while Bulwark focuses on rebuilding. Ancient Waves aims to complete the picture by exploring the personal human perspective of a society on the brink of change.
“I like the idea of the smallest roles and actors in a grand set of events, the next game will be an attempt to take the perspective on this world down to a human scale. I think it would be great to show the three epochs of this world, how a society gets stuck and fixed in place and attempts to break free through violence and conflict (The Falconeer). How people rebuild and the kind of walls they build around them (Bulwark) and then the perspective on how a society can collapse as seen by the people experiencing the preludes to such an event.”

While we want to be happy about this release, the announcement of the next game is pretty big news. If you’re a fan, you may want to get ready for more news as time goes on.
