Bungou Stray Dogs is a Japanese manga series written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa. While the official release date has not been announced, the trailer for Bungou Stray Dogs Season 4 has been revealed.

The official trailer showcases the next installment in the series and the struggles that Osamu and Atsushi will encounter.

The first season of Bungou Stray Dogs begins with Atsushi Nakajima. The orphanage he lived in had been plagued by a tiger that only he could see. However, as a suspect behind the strange incidents, he is kicked out of the orphanage. He was left cold, hungry, and homeless.

All that changes when he rescues an eccentric man called Osami Dazai from drowning. As it turns out, Osami has been investigating the mysterious tiger that has been terrorizing the orphanage and the young Atsushi. As they work together to solve the mystery, Atsushi is coerced into joining the firm of supernatural investigations that takes on unusual cases that the police can’t handle.

Since the first season, the two have encountered challenges such as the Port Mafia, The Guild, and old enemies. In season four, Atsushi and Osami must face more challenges as their detective agency, once filled with glory, is slandered by the people after a series of unfortunate incidents.

Like the past seasons, season 4 of Bungou Stray Dogs will be produced by the animation studio Bones, known for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia. The director of this series is still Takuya Igarashi, who is known for his work on Ojamajo Doremi Dokkaan! and Sailor Moon Sailor Stars.

The leading Japanese voice actors for this series remain the same and include:

  • Mamoru Miyano as Osamu Dazai. He is known for his roles as Light Yagami in Death Note and Rintarou Okabe in Steins; Gate.
  • Yuuto Uemura as Atsushi Nakajima. He is known for his roles as Thorfinn in Vinland Saga, and Yuusuke Yotsuya in I’m Standing on a Million Lives.
