Fire Emblem Engage is a tactical, role-playing game that is a 2023 debut for Nintendo Switch where the Fell Dragon is about to reawaken, and as a Divine Dragon, players will have to use their skills and make choices to collect 12 Emblem Rings to bring peace back to Elyos. How to unlock Byleth in Fire Emblem Engage

To unlock Byleth in Fire Emblem Engage, you will need to progress to Chapter 14, the Battle of Solm, where he will join Alear and the party. They are one of the 12 Emblems available as you collect Emblem Rings through the game. You want to use Emblems as you are able to Engage them to access Engage Skills and Engage Attacks, strengthening your unit during battle.

Byleth’s Engage Abilities & Skills

Byleth’s Engage Skill is Instruct and the Engage Attack is Goddess Dance. Each Emblem has an Engage Skill and Attack along with specific Synchro Skill(s), but they also have access to Inheritable Skills. Engage Skills and Engage Attacks are both abilities that you can use when you have Engaged an Emblem during battle. Synchro skills are skills that you can use when an Emblem Ring is equipped, while Inheritable Skills become accessible as you deepen your bonds with an Emblem.

Byleth’s Engage Weapons

Byleth has two Engage Weapons: Aymr, effective against Dragon-types and Blutgang, effective against Dragon and Cavalry-types. Each Emblem has the ability to wield specific weapons, and these are weapons that are obtained from collecting Emblem Rings. Your unit can use the Engage Weapons of an Emblem once the Emblem Ring is paired with a Unit. Here is a cheat sheet of all of Byleth’s Engage Weapons:
