Call of Duty has officially released the patch notes for a minor new update today, mainly dedicated to polishing up some frustrating bugs. The patch notes feature both Global changes and Warzone 2.0 updates. Here’s the new announcement from developer Raven Software:

At the top of the list, the devs pinpoint known crashes, which should definitely be a relief. They remain strategically vague about exactly which crashing errors have been resolved, but at least they promise it will continue to be a priority. Crashing is one of the more serious, disruptive, and unpredictable bugs in any game.

Still, most fans were disappointed with how small this update felt, since it hardly addressed serious issues. There are a few highlights, like getting wins to count for Calling Card Challenges, or suddenly closing menues. But many took the opportunity to reply with a laundry list of bugs that still require fixing, some of which have legitimately lingered for a while.

Many Call of Duty fans are feeling justifiably impatient after the devs confirmed that Season 2 would be delayed by two weeks. But such a drastic measure would arguably be suited for larger cleanup than today’s patch, so hopefully, there will be larger update soon with even more fixes.

And if not, then it must be priming an even larger update for Season 2, which will surely be massive, just like the Season 1 update. So, the wait may not necessarily be so long for some of the more important bugs to be resolved. If Season 2 doesn’t end up justifying the delay, it could disappoint either way, but at least there should be plenty of new content.
